  • The Church has ancient origins, definitely before the sec. XII, but the present building was built in 1652/1670-designed by Francesco Maria Richini, then on his death continued by Francesco Castelli-following the discovery of the old chapel containing the image of the "Madonna of the Pinafore", today visible in the interesting region, well restored, located on the right side of the Church. The rich Baroque façade of the church you can see the Castle Portal surmounted by the coronation of the Virgin, quite a relief carved in 1670 by Carlo Simonetta. The Interior contains numerous sculptures, Simonetta and other authors (Cristoforo Solari, Stephen John Dory), as well as 17th century paintings of Camillo and Ercole Procaccini. Today the Church is Catholic Chaplaincy of Polish language.

  • This church is situated near largo Augusto. Catholic Christian Church with the Ambrosian rite, Baroque style, was built during the Spanish era (mid-1600) from a project by Francesco Maria Richini. Interesting the triangular tympanum (Borromini) and 4 statues of angels (Giuseppe Vismara)

  • Chiesa di Santa Maria alla Porta is located not far from the Duomo. The current church building is the result of restoration, since the Church was severely damaged during the World War 2, but its main relic is a fresco depicting the Virgin Mary with baby Jesus remained intact. So go and see for yourself.
