  • A short walk from the ruins of the ancient Lazzaretto stands this impressive church built between 1903 and 1908 in place of an old church, also dedicated to St. Gregorio Magno, built in the place of burial of the dead of plague. The exterior has forms these architects and impresses with pleasant contrast between the red bricks and stone finishes, most notably on the porch façade, the rose window and the apical balusters. The Interior, in neo-Gothic style with some added liberty, consists of a single wide nave with ogival arches, seven major to which they correspond as many chapels on each side. In it are preserved some precious works of art, in particular: in the first chapel on the right a late 16th century wooden crucifix above the presbytery the large Crucifixion painted by Luigi Morgari in the early 1920s, the first altar on the left the statue of Saint Gregory sculpted by Achille Alberti. In the sacristy are preserved some religious objects of Carlo Borromeo, including the PyX used to communicate the plague-stricken.

  • the Red building of the Church Chiesa di San Gregorio was impossible not to notice, because we are constantly passed by her, because they lived in a hotel near. Church of Saint George was built on the orders of Napoleon, quite modest Interior, but in general there is something to look at.

  • Church of St. Gregory the great was in the vicinity of our hotel, because we visited. The beautiful church of the sample 19 century, built by order of Napoleon on the site of a former cemetery. Inside the walls are decorated with frescoes. More in principle the Interior is notable for not anything special. The church operates.
