  • We returned after some time to review this gem of liberty; in our previous visit Peacock room had not been possible to visit it as busy for a meeting. This is the first building in liberty city and curiously properly or maybe for provocation, lies right in the middle of corso Venezia, that was the way of nobility in the eighteenth century whose buildings already had the simple lines of neoclassicism; at the time of its construction the effect was undoubtedly disruptive, for more than one reason, because of its monumental proportions with the severe facade that drew partly Michelangelo influences in the use of Ashlar and the profusion of cherubs in high relief. In this building every material helps to give a sense of movement and a general feeling of power, na is inside and in my opinion achieves apotheosis, the gate to the stair railing characterized by the interweaving of wrought irons until arriving at its splendid rooms where on all triumphs that known as "peacocks". Not to be missed!

  • Corso Venezia Milan do you admire this sumptuous palace in liberty style early twentieth century; now the Confcommercio is also used for exhibitions and conferences. Especially the history of the two statues of two scantily-clad women be removed immediately after the building by a surge of bigotry of the milanese bourgeoisie.

  • Considered the most important example of milanese Art Nouveau Palazzo Castiglioni had been at the time dubbed "Ca ' di ciàpp" (literally: House of butt) because of two very scantily-clad female figures that the intentions of the sculptor Ernesto Bazzaro-and owner-represented allegorically peace and industry and that instead the pressures of ben (= mal) thinking they remove. Today the two maidens show quietly their thanks within the nursing home Columbus in Via Buonarroti (see picture), where I hope present a bit of relief. For other descriptions I refer to my previous review. (visited on October 22, 2016)

  • A lovely and imaginative piece of early 20th-century architecture by Sommaruga. Art nouveau or "Stile "Liberty"
  • A beautiful building. One of the many fantastic palace you can find in Milano.
  • Building well integrated nellurbanistica. Very elegant and Nice.

  • Beautiful building, visited during the first edition of Openhouse. The exterior façade, beautiful but hardly does justice to the immense staircase and stained glass ceiling of the Interior.
