  • I'm angry as hell give a rating so low in what is certainly a piece of literary history of Italy, but unfortunately at the moment I prefer to save potential patrons from a crushing disappointment. The Museum is currently closed, with no explanation even on the official website which continues to publish photographs of the Museum of memorabilia Manzoni. No date for reopening real or alleged, no information even by the ticket Lady (which kindly informed of the matter, so that we could choose whether to continue). The result is a ride of a few minutes in two or three rooms where there is a very bad view (I wonder if we should expose flowers and dried fruit in front of old books). You save only the study and bedroom of Manzoni, visible but left pretty much in the dark with "special effects" hateful of crackling open fire and lighting worthy of the best Horror House of Disneyland. Nothing else. Only in Italy you could treat as a monument of such importance!

  • We wanted to visit the House of Alessandro Manzoni, but it wasn't possible. We arrived at the entrance and a security guard told us, even so little cute, which was closed until 5 July. The problem is that on the official website and on other sites not mentioned minimally a collapse. We came this morning on purpose and this is the result of the mismanagement of our artistic and cultural heritage. Congratulations!

  • It is not possible that after so many km, we arrive and the casa del Manzoni is closed until 5 July for a view. No internet, no warning sign at the entrance ... IT IS USELESS, ITALY IS ALWAYS BACK. Thanks for nothing ...

  • Not that interesting. It closes at 6 but they start locking things up earlier. The friendly girl at the reception still let me in at 5, but her colleague nearly chased me out of the museum.
  • Not much to see in this building.
  • Museum maintained and well preserved. Very friendly girls who assist in the halls. Great guides. A place to visit for all those are visiting Milan and for the Milanese which have not yet done so

  • Great experience, full of culture and life. Very nice, workmanlike manner and with great care. Wonderful people who work there, helpful and attentive and very prepared. I recommend it to everyone for an afternoon out who will be able to enrich.

  • At the end you see a room remodeled and recreated with little furniture as if it were the one lived by Manzoni

Where to stay in Milan

For a quintessential Milanese experience, stay in the bustling heart of the old town. This area offers easy foot access to most of Milan's main sites, as well as some of the city's finest restaurants, shops, and theaters. The central area is also quite crowded, and comfortable rooms in good hotels can be very expensive. Visitors traveling on a budget can choose from a range of top-notch B&Bs and family-operated hostels, which offer private parking and access to private outdoor space, minutes from Milan's main attractions.
