  • The building was built in the early twentieth century to accommodate the wording of one of the most popular and not hardly the oldest Italian Milanese newspaper Corriere della Sera. For more than a hundred years the Milan Edition of "evening courier" is located in this building.

  • The newspaper Corriere della Sera is located on the street Via Solferino, 28, in the Brera district, in a beautiful building dating back to the beginning of the last century.

  • The Corriere della Sera has always been an integral part of the historic building in Via Solferino 28, whose most striking characteristic, if not exactly beauty, is the extreme simplicity of the collection, just revived by refined decorations liberty, as was for decades the editorial line of the newspaper. The building was constructed in 1903-04 and designed by Luca Beltrami (who put his experience as Director of the 1896 Courier) and Luigi Repossi. Expanded and raised by Suresh Raina in 1960-65, the whole complex was finally renovated in 2001-06 by Studio Gregotti to respond to the new demands of rationalization of space. I had the opportunity to attend the offices of the newspaper several times between the beginning and end of the years ' 60-when it was still "the Courier"-meeting with real excitement in the very long Hall "sacred cows" of journalism and literature such as Eugenio Montale, Dino Buzzati and Indro Montanelli and Aaron Hall. Then throw in the Brera district and maybe a "jump" to the Jamaica Bar. A Milan which unfortunately no longer exists.
