  • Founded by Saint Ambrose in 382, lets see many artifacts of the era, although the forms of the present Church are the 12th-century Romanesque. In the 16th century were added, on the pediment, the mausoleum of Trivulzio and the side chapel of Saint Catherine, Bramantino. The three eras are readable thanks to the restoration (perhaps excessive) of the last century. From largo Richini is beautiful the apse. Very interesting the archaeological area and the small museum which can be visited thanks to the volunteers of the Italian Touring Club weekdays from 15.30 to 18 (Tuesday from 13.30).

  • The general public does not know, almost doesn't show, but worth a visit, it will be like it was for me, a discovery: the Interior is nicely restored with a remarkable apse, nave with two bays covered with vault.

  • From Corso di Porta Romana don't understand what to expect. Past the mausoleum Trivulzio (Ethereal inside), come down in the Basilica where there are dozens of treasures to be discovered. A visit takes an hour or more. Tomb of Dioscorus, archeological findings, ancient frescoes, 15th-century crib, beautiful bodies. In short, to visit and to discover. Beautiful the complex seen from Largo Richini

  • It is worth the wait in the long lines for ticket and then to get into or rather around the Cathedral to the roof. A beautiful view of Milano. It is a must if you are in Milano for a few days.
  • This amazing ancient church was built by St. Ambrose, starting from 382. It was originally dedicated to the Apostles, and thus known as Basilica Apostolorum.
  • Precious church that was founded by Ambrose and still preserves Paleochristian (the dome plus some inscriptions), Romanic (the main body) and Renaissance (the so-called Cappella Trivulzio at the entrance) construction phases. From the right arm, entrance to some Roman kilns. In the same arm, tomb of a doctor at the Roman imperial court with inscribed epigrams in Greek and Latin.
  • Beautiful church with some outstanding art.
  • Worth a visit
