The name Armani has been synonymous with unrivaled Italian style all over the world for over 30 years. Perhaps best known for revolutionizing fashion with his unstructured jacket in the Eighties, Giorgio Armani has continued to define the well dressed ever since. Giorgio Armani was established in Milan in 1975 and through his clear stylistic vision, coupled with a deep understanding of his client’s needs he proved instantly popular with the discerning Italian fashion savvy. To further his domestic success he went on to collaborate with the Hollywood movie industry, bringing him worldwide acclaim. The designer subsequently saw himself become a household name after his clothes appeared on Richard Gere in the iconic 1980 movie "American Gigolo" and he has remained one of Hollywood’s favorite designers ever since. In 1981 the young line Emporio Armani was introduced - today Giorgio Armani’s flawless style has branched off into a range of collections from the Haute Couture line Armani Privé, to the casual approach of Armani Jeans. An understated sense of chic and excellent craftsmanship are the common threads that bind the Armani World together. Over the years, the label has further expanded into cosmetics, furniture design and - since 2005 - into signature Hotels and Resorts.

  • Very big (probably the biggest) Armani shop, a must-see for anyone interested in the brand. Very easy to find since it's located just at the metro stop.  more »
  • A must-see place, the biggest store of Armani where you find all the lines of your brand, women, men and children, cosmetics and perfumes, prices depending on that line is carried, but impossible some leave empty-handed.

  • Very upscale Armani store - wide selection but average service
  • Armani must train their staff to be especially rude and ignorant, the only designer label main store in Milan where this happened, I don't care how good the clothes are with this "service" they can keep them.
  • Its always a pleasure to come back this place. A short building of 4 floor from clothing to accessories, furniture and restaurant next to it. Great coffee in the bar. Lovely cosy place.
  • Bought a leather jacket there, Pricy but Poor service! Sales people just gather and chatting! And my name on free tax form was typed wrongly! Luckily I did a check at the counter and corrected by handwriting!
  • Incredibly nice hotel with spacious rooms and design. Minimalistic lines and great attention to detail. Their gym is top class with a nice spa as well. I loved the whole Armani experience without being chi chi or too pastiche. Their restaurant is a credible option. Well located, a must try during a business visit to Milano!

Where to stay in Milan

For a quintessential Milanese experience, stay in the bustling heart of the old town. This area offers easy foot access to most of Milan's main sites, as well as some of the city's finest restaurants, shops, and theaters. The central area is also quite crowded, and comfortable rooms in good hotels can be very expensive.
