  • The Church is wonderful, the splendid panorama. Whenever I travel to messina step several hours sitting in the wonderful terrace to relax a little.

  • It stands on a hill overlooking Messina, allows anyone who visits to enjoy a unique panorama. It is said that its position is due to the dream of a friar to whom the Virgin Mary appeared in a dream. Our Lady told the monk that the next day, a White Dove would fly over a hill where he would have pleased that you build a church in her honor. This shrine is tied into a certain senzo the Cathedral of Messina, or rather to the astronomical clock tower attached which shows the sanctuary of Madonna di Montalto

  • We arrived by train from Taormina to stroll in Messina. Plan our walks we totaled fellow tourist office near the train station. First we got on Duomskuju square. And from there we decided to go up to the beautiful residential quarters of Madonna di Montaldo. The path is not easy. When it seems that we are seeing visitors, members of the temple, it turns out you need to bypass the mountain quarter around the road to get to the territory of the Church. Along the way offer beautiful views of the urban development and the Cathedral. When we entered the courtyard, it turned out that the wedding will take place now. The father brought the bride on the black cabriolet, they left and entered the Church. I followed them and, together with the guests, attended the wedding ceremony. On the forecourt of the Temple-a comfortable place with benches for contemplation of the city. I drew in a travelogue, and when the wind rose, we went down to the city on another ladder.

  • Panorama mozzafiato
Triste.
  • There you can enjoy a fantastic view of the whole city. Place of peace

  • Great view, too bad you found the sanctuary closed ... A closed Church for me is an oxymoron rendered motionless consecrated.
