  • The fountain is located in the Cathedral Square, in front of the astronomical clock. Definitely worth a stop in order to appreciate their beauty!

  • As well as the Duomo and Tower, this source is located in the same square. Believe to be the tourist spot of the city.

  • Beautiful. Be there at 12 in afternoon for surprises. ☺️👍
  • Very nice.
  • One of the funniest fountains I've ever seen
  • Impressive and Ancient Monument.
  • Messina's monumental fountain created by FRA Giovanni Angelo Montorsoli (1507-1563) disciple of Michelangelo, dating back to 1553 and performed in collaboration with Domenico Vanello, is located in piazza Duomo. "The most beautiful Fountain of the 16th century European" was defined by the art historian Bernard Berenson, and in fact that is a work of uncommon beauty, of great significance and of strong emotional impact. Was commissioned by the Senate of Messina in 1547 celebratory purposes, with the idea of setting in memory the first city aqueduct that took advantage of channelling the waters of the torrents Camaroe Bangura, started in 1530 and completed in 1547 by the architect Taormina Francis Cameola.
