  • The Church successfully located and because of its majestic size visible from different parts of the city just off the streets, not necessarily to climb a hill or tower, to see it. Inside the content bit, but gentle. Surprise idea illumination nimbuses Saints statues and ultraviolet light.

  • Twentieth-century this church, like the rest of the city, reflects the style of the late-Baroque work of local church Architects Juvarra. Whose maximum works still soar in the sky over Turin. Inside the temple the ancient wooden statue of our Lady of Mount Carmel giving the scapular to St. Simon Stok, the other major.

  • The sanctuary of the Virgin of Carmel, more known as the Church of Carmel, is a building dedicated to worship located in Messina. It replaces the homonymous Church, located near the dome and destroyed by the earthquake of 1908 in Messina. She is Street Antonio Martino, facing the tribunal and recalls the style of the 17th century typical of Messina before the destruction caused by the earthquake. The Church, by Lorenzo Interdonato on a project of the architect Cesare Bazzani, was consecrated on July 15, 1931 and therefore in 2016 she celebrated 85 years. The religious of the order of Carmel, reached in Messina later in 1238, fixed their first home on the torrent Michel, two kilometres from the city. They built their first convent with the attached Church which they called "Saint - Mary of Carmel". " This place in the life of hermit monks, lived was called later "withdrawal" and all the country took this name. The faithful who attended many to beg, were attracted by the exemplary life that led the monks. The religious led to change of residence and to move along the mouth of the river Saint-Michel. But this second house was infected with malaria and exposed to the depredations of the pirates and the wars that raged in Sicily; in 1292 the monks were forced to move Street Argentieri, close to Garibaldi Street e Corso Cavour.
