  • This church is one of the treasures of the city of Messina and no doubt for the whole of Sicily: Arab-Norman style, Byzantine influences and site already in use in the Greek period. Basically a summa of populations that have enriched the culture of Sicily and itself a vestige of past centuries, lying on a low floor compared to adjacent buildings, precisely because it resisted time and earthquake. Admirable in its external architecture and also very beautiful interiors for those who have had the luck to see them. Obviously is closed almost always just because tourism we don't mind, as it is a stone's throw from the Cathedral and the landing of "shore". To revive and make more accessible (and not just for tourists) ABSOLUTELY!

  • A jewel of art, Temple of Neptune in the period of magna grecia and restored over time comes to us, full of history

  • I think it is the last vestige of the original quota of Messina, a few metres lower than the current one. We have seen outside during a nighttime downtown. I think it is open internally only on the first Sunday of each month during the function of 10.00
