  • For those wishing to visit the Po delta is required to visit the castle of Mesola; one of the Delizie Estensi. Easy to get from the SS309 Romea; very well cared for and enjoyed. The castle itself is well worth the visit but is the complex that enhances this corner stood the time time of the Este family. Around the castle to form a wall there are the premises for a time in shelters, stables and homes x the vulgar herd. Today there are shops, restaurants and bars. The presence of the great river flowing just a few dozen meters from the complex; great for a stopover or for a walk. The entrance is free of charge (€ 4.00)

  • It was built by Alfonso II, the last Duke, when the Duchy of Este was being incorporated in the Papal States. Very well maintained, externally and internally, houses the historical account of the castle itself and the island of Mesola, hunting, as well as the Museum of the environment that surrounds it. Audiovisuals are interesting, elegantly concise exhibits are housed in a collection of well designed caskets, which contributes significantly to the use by the visitor. In layman's terms, I think it is interesting what is exposed, whether the container itself.
