  • August 2016. The San Nicolò church or Cathedral of Merano dedicated to the patron saint of the city, is located at the end of the arcades and is one of the first fully gothic monuments of Tyrol. Seeing the richly decorated portal, inside cannot escape the altar doors place in the north aisle which was purchased in 1888 and comes from the Church of St. Medard at Tartsch, the Gothic choir and numerous frescoes.

  • The church dedicated to San Nicolò is located at the end of the arcades and is a clear example of Gothic art. The Bell Tower and the inner glass Windows deserve a visit. Behind him is the chapel of Saint Barbara.

  • My way through the medieval Laubengasse resulted in the parish church of St. Nicholas, it is very high and thus far visible, thus you can orient yourself well in the area of the old town.

  • One of the earliest Gothic buildings. A main building with three naves. In 1220 he was first mentioned in a document, from the 14th century onwards was enlarged and in 1465 assumed its present appearance. There are a considerable amount of valuable frescos, a beautiful rose window above the arch in punta del portal, the railing of the triptych worthy of attention, late Gothic glass Windows, the choir also Gothic. The belfry of 84 meters. It is one of the highest in South Tyrol! Dedicated to St Nicholas. The Church is located at the end of the arcades.
