  • the Museum houses the statue of the Dancing Satyr recovered by fishermen in the seabed in front of Mazara del Vallo. the Museum also collects some other artifacts found on the seabed. the statue is visible from every point of view.

  • I strongly recommend not to leave out a visit to the Dancing Satyr, small museum that doesn't waste much time, I started the visit from the footage on the find at sea and restoration of important exhibit. Inside the Museum there are other exhibits as well as amphorae goatskin codes, staff on hand to explain. The ticket costs € 6 to € 9 if we match the Pepoli Museum of Trapani with its beautiful coral jewelry I recommend both museums

  • The statue itself is magnificent. A reslly beautiful example of an ancient Greek bronze. Pity there is so little else to see for the price though.
  • Very good bronze statue. The shape is very particular and the story behind that is fascinating. The rest of the museum is composed of a few pieces with not so much value. The entrance fee is 6 euros
  • Beautiful statue that alone is worth a visit! For the rest you watch a movie with the discovery and some exhibits including a metal elephant's foot but now is in Palermo. Very friendly and prepared the keepers!! One of them made us pretty much guide providing exciting news than the dancing satyr and finds. Besides Mazara is a beautiful town with beautiful churches, a little nugget just open like the teatro Garibaldi, and the kashba .... excellent bakeries and don't miss the taste of gambero rosso di Mazara!

  • Not very rich, but interesting. The Dancing Satyr alone is worth visiting and is very well presented, charming

  • Excellent museum almost monothematic, everything revolves around the discovery of the famous "Dancing Satyr"! Not to be missed, the bronze statue found at the bottom of the Strait of Sicily, has been perfectly restored. Truly fascinating.
