  • We walked into this church almost by chance at the beginning of the casbah of Mazara and were amazed at the wealth of the relief decoration, stucco, marble all over the walls with a crypt and the cloister that recall the ancient origins, greeted by the pastor who then we heard is a teaching assistant Conservator of this jewel of Baroque art on an age-old architectural structure. Not to be missed on a visit to the city ...

  • It is a very peculiar Church and out of the ordinary, be sure to visit and if you can, enters the catacombs in the basement.

  • Climbing in the back streets of the Kasbah in Mazara del Vallo, at some point there is the Church of San Francesco, which in my opinion is the jewel of Mazara. You will be enchanted by the stucco and the richness of the interior decorations.

  • Has medieval origins but was almost entirely rebuilt in 1680 in Baroque style. Is full of decorations in stucco and polychrome frescoes.
