  • This prompted was until last year the 2cattedrale "of Matera; because the real was under restoration. Wonderful Baroque style, has a beautiful square where they play many kids with parents and being surrounded by many ice cream shops, from the opportunity to stop for a moment and relax a little.

  • It is a church of Baroque style built to San Francesco square in the new town. Madonna statue was installed at the top of the Church. Compared to the Sassi cave Church is a church very respectable. Entrance door was open when I visited in siesta is closes in the afternoon.

  • If you switch from Castellaneta for a visit, it is imperative to stop in this convent. The cloister of the monastery and its frescoes are sure to leave you speechless. The Interior of the Church of Saint Francis of Assisi unfortunately is under renovation, but it is accessible and is the oldest church of the city's history.
