  • There are so many things to see and do in Matera, but that a part of the soul: not to be missed. You have to look for it, ring the doorbell and you will be greeted and escorted to a location full of life and memories, objects collected and preserved as relics of a time that has built our history.

  • Passion and dedication are evident in his eyes and the voice of Mr. Donato, a place that fascinates and transports you in memories of the past and you see the pain and the strength of the inhabitants of the sassi. The Museum is a place to visit absolutely going to Matera, wonderful city, rich in history. Thanks David

  • Passion is the right word to describe the owner ... he collected so many objects, lovingly restored them and especially during the tour, listening to his words, it seems that his words become reality

  • This museum is the result of 30 years of work of Mr.Carlos welcome you and answer all your questions about life in the sassi. The laboratory museum recreates the environments of those who once lived in the sassi with ' objects, furniture and pictures. It's a real blast from the past. I recommend it to all visitors. The Council also read the book of short stories translated into English Museum that collects testimonies of those who lived in the sassi.
