  • Really interesting Museum for Greek vases of considerable size and perfectly preserved, in addition to the reconstruction of Paleolithic settlements with artefacts and the skeleton of Italy's oldest man.

  • When archaeology help as a tool for understanding a territory as that of Matera. An interesting discovery, a well organized, with very interesting exhibits from prehistoric times until the 4th century BC. The exhibition follows a chronological order and toponografico. Prehistoric section has reconstructed a life-size model of a Neolithic House. Beautiful funeral, dated to the 4th century BC with examples of monumental vases with red figures. Staff attentive and prepared. Perhaps, should be renovated the property, which appears in some rooms, abandoned. Ideal for the educational concept of the Museum for school groups.
