  • Even without altars, frescoes, chandeliers or furniture this church, like all other excavated in the sassi, has kept his Holiness; both a believer either to an unbeliever that cannot remain indifferent to the mystique of the place.

  • Beautiful rock complex in the heart of the Sassi and wonderful welcome from the boys of the cooperative Cave Heritage boys are professional, welcoming, prepared and funny. Not to be missed.

  • The Church of Madonna delle Virtù is an example of reusing a place of worship; over time turned into a church in a home furnace cemetery. The lower part built in negative digging directly the rock retains some frescoes, the top transformed into oven and House has two graves in the floor where the family lived and a series of paintings. Part of the ceiling collapsed and now looks directly onto the street below does not exist until a few years is derived from a Creek bed. This also a cross-section of life in the Sassi definitely is worth a visit because it houses exhibitions on different themes. I believe the visit to be paid otherwise is included in tours of the Sassi.
