  • I liked the view from the road along the cliffs towards Barisano district than looking up from the square a little ahead. As opposed to a neat Church on the edge of the cliffs behind the mountains and the beautiful.

  • Begun in 1218 during the centuries has undergone many changes almost losing its original appearance. The current façade dates back to the 17th century, and the rest of the Church was completely restored has added the Bell Tower. In 1706 again changed and consecrated again adding stucco and wooden ceiling decorations and uk. Baroque church completely local tuff to visit as all churches of the old town of Matera, inside to see a baptismal font from the 13th century decorated with bas-reliefs and statues in chapels.
