  • Fantastic monument right behind the gravina of Matera. Overlooking the famous Saint Peter's square, has become a favorite location by many movie sets.

  • Super Church, calm and soothing. The square and the adjoining madonna of Idris, make a very nice place. The view of the sasso barisano is breathtaking.

  • This church is built on the edge of the ravine. She is at the end of one of the main streets of the old Matera on a square where vendors you want to one other. Is the Church not so special from the outside except at night because then she is nicely lit. Inside there are only nice to see altars.

In 1706 again changed and consecrated again adding stucco and wooden ceiling decorations and uk. Baroque church completely local tuff to visit as all churches of the old town of Matera, inside to see a baptismal font from the 13th century decorated with bas-reliefs and statues in chapels.
