  • Probably the most beautiful church of the caveosa part of the Sassi of Matera. Beautiful painted wooden ceiling and the atmosphere within the Church. Beautiful also the clearing in front of that river and caves visible in front of Matera. Not to be missed.

  • Church very simple mail in a square from where you can see a beautiful panorama. Upon entering you will hear some music in the background who gladdens the visit. Nothing fancy but a visit can be done.

  • Is a church in the area of Sasso cave or so. Beside Gravina Gorge was going. Was view side sash was not allowed during the Church for a tour of the Plaza in front of the Church. Here is one of Matera's point of view I'd say. When is filming location for the movie "passion" and "Ben-Hur" became the sash of the square.

Baroque church completely local tuff to visit as all churches of the old town of Matera, inside to see a baptismal font from the 13th century decorated with bas-reliefs and statues in chapels.
