  • After visiting 4 or 5 churches in Matera, we checked into this masterpiece of church up beyond belief, wedge frescoed ceilings, statues and so on and so on and so forth. Glitzy up beyond belief (at least compared to the other churches visit). Really but really nice.

  • For being able to admire the best you should visit while aren't going religious functions. Particularly valuable interiors.

  • The Church will not remain in memory of the traveller, while a break deserves the Nativity site in the left aisle.

  • Dominating the old Sassi quarter, the views from it are dazzling, and the architecture sublime.
  • The last time I visited was being restored but if you find yourself in Sydney you have to visit it by force! There is no place in Matera, Matera is magical and not see at least once in their life should be visited!

  • A harmonious marriage of Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque is what will surprise anyone who enters the Cathedral. Built in 1230, you leave Stratify from different periods and styles, from worship and domination until 2003 when it closed for renovations. Now it's finally reopened for worship but especially to lovers of beauty. Frescoes, decorations and so much aurea luce da dazzle the sight.
