  • This afternoon I found myself near Pian Della Fioba and I decided to take my kids (5 and 10 years) to pay a visit to the Botanical Garden the first thing that bothered me is: >>> the minimum bid REQUIRED almost at the street entrance €3 < < < there are information boards on the regulation of the garden and schedules but no mention of absolutely no admission fee and/or offer. After traveling across the walkway (200 m uphill) once I arrived near the House (Office of the Botanical Garden) I'm just verbally informed by volunteers that there was the possibility of making the guided route with MINIMUM BID €3. Taken by curiosity, my kids wanted to do the path with the volunteer. Let me start by saying that the place and the views are wonderful and if you go to another month would be a terrific thing but to late August is mostly dry and there are very few blooms. The Guide took us along the way and he read some labels (a dozen, many others skipped them) that were driven into the ground near the plants and towards the end of the route explained the operation of the weather station on site. My youngest child asked about certain types of plants that were along the route and the leadership has been able to answer. Over all nice, the only absurd thing is charging admission even to a toddler of just 5 years! Doing so people scrub once, then definitely not coming back, I think the costs of the visit must be exposed at the entrance, not after 200 meters uphill! Have a nice day

  • In late spring, blooms for the remains of deserves for year deserves for the panoramic view of the peaks with the marble quarries and the sea. Guides friendly and prepared. Long and winding road to get there, but well worth it.

  • A fascinating place to visit with young and prepared guides available during opening hours. You can easily reach by car from the coast of Versilia. The botanical garden tour in about an hour, surpassing a vertical drop of about 100 m and enjoying extraordinary views.

  • Botanical well organized and with great guides that accompany such a modest cost and with detailed botanical information. Rich flora for number of species present in a scenic trail in the Apuan Alps and the surrounding quarries of marble.
