  • The orto Botanico is located in Massa in Tuscany and has a wonderful view at its highest. In Ortho you can do the trail with local guide and find species of plants and animals. I advise you to visit the Orto.

  • The Orto Botanico "Pietro Pellegrini" contains native plants of Apuane. A few kilometres from the sea is reached by a winding road, but quite easy. The space isn't very big but there are represented the most significant varieties of Apuane. For many years it was directed by the late prof. Erminio Ferrarini, botanist and keen to research work, as well as Professor at the University of Siena. Along the way (a mountain path with ups and downs) are the most important species characteristic of the place. Well worth a visit.

  • More than a botanical garden this is a slice of Apuane. In one tooth of rock, which is crossed by a path well marked, sometimes steep, are all typical of the Apuan Alps and the Apennines. Round, a superb view from the Alps to the sea, including the Islands. The whole is shown admirably by Joseph young, enthusiastic, prepare. Must see!

  • Botanical well organized and with great guides that accompany such a modest cost and with detailed botanical information. Rich flora for number of species present in a scenic trail in the Apuan Alps and the surrounding quarries of marble.

  • Despite the location very convenient not worth going there on purpose. Informative and charming, very knowledgeable guide, the highest point of the route has spectacular views.

  • A wonderful taste of Apuan Alps with breathtaking scenery! I highly recommend getting to the highest point in the garden to enjoy the view at 360°!
