We spent an afternoon in the castle for the wedding of a childhood friend and, I must say that the whole thing was really impressive! The ceremony performed in the top tier, aperitifs on the walls, and dinner in the Loggia sea view ... The location is really beautiful and well worth a visit and visited. Downside: a taxi was shuttling back and forth to bring guests from the car park at the bottom among which there were seniors and people with disabilities who, due to the rudeness of the inhabitants on the climb to the Castle have forced people to do half ascent on foot ... maybe the owners of the castle should have done something more, perhaps alerting the inhabitants ...

Very impressive, beautiful view, good cocktails and beers. The plus point is the evenings when, at the cost of lunch, you can also attend a monologue, a reading, a dance performance. Only drawback, it would be better to a buffet rather than wait half an hour for a plate of pasta or a small plate of crostini.

The castle is very nice because it overlooks the city of Massa and right after you see the sea! We were lucky enough to attend an evening in the presence of a guide who told us about the history of the Castle. Recommended! To get there is to walk a 15/20 minutes

  • A castle to explore with a breathtaking view over the city of Massa and the Apuan Riviera. Take the "Piastronata", the street that closes the central Piazza Mercurio, pays back the ascent to the ancient residence of the Malaspina.

  • Very nice, you see passing by train, but I was there and it's worth it.

  • The Malaspina Castle is a well preserved structure overlooking the city. Definitely worth a visit, both to admire the structure and Interior, that to observe the panorama that stretches from the mountains to the sea. The ideal is a guided tour to discover the secrets of the Castle, its original owners, their history and that of the city of Massa

  • A visit to the Rocca Malaspina is worth the effort of the route, the scenery is breathtaking and particularly interesting is the architectural development, between the medieval and the Renaissance one. Should be better marked and have a shuttle to transport, even for those with mobility problems. Nice and friendly, the Guide and a municipal employee, thank you.
