  • The Basilica of Saint Martin is, quite possibly, the symbol of the buildings of Martina Franca. Built in Baroque style, has a façade built of limestone in which stands the statue of San Martino, on horse and enclosed in a shell, dividing his cloak with a sword. There are two entrances, served by four stairways, of which one side facing Via Vittorio Emanuele. The Interior has a single nave with various side chapels and a presbytery with statues of the Saint and of the Holy Prince (seems to be a martyr of the early centuries AD). One of the main attractions of the Itria Valley.

  • Beautiful Basilica. Very artistic both inside and outside. Impressive. Very recommended. If you happen to be around you've got to have a look at this beauty!!
  • This is architecturally stunning - in the Baroque rococo style. Please, visit in the day AND, if possible, return in the evening to see it lit up inside - the experience is different, if not better. Don't miss the MUBA, their museum, which is nearby, there are some beautiful treasures on display.

  • Beautiful baroque church, one of the most beautiful in the whole of puglia. The magnificent façade, visible from the square (which I defined a sitting room, lovely), has a beautiful sculpture of St. Martin dividing his cloak with a poor of amiens. Inside, in addition to beauty amazes various statues, a Nativity scene, and, at the side of the main altar, a large view the relics of Saint Martin and Saint comisia, beautiful statues, silver-at height of a man. It is a cathedral to visit! open late, the information is on the website dedicated to it
