  • Lovely Basilica, located in the historic center, classic Baroque style. I was pleasantly surprised to see the Basilica opened at lunchtime.

  • Beautiful and historic basilica located at the center of the country, in the Rococo style Madi, is dedicated to the Patron Saint, St. Martin Bishop of Tours lived in the 4th century AD. Due to the earthquake of 1743 was rebuilt 1747 Rococo style. It is also used for musical genres which I witnessed. I must say it has good acoustics.

  • If you were suddenly in the square in front of the Basilica not knowing where you were, you'd definitely have to be in some baroque city of Lecce: many indeed are the artistic aspects of the Basilica and the historical centre which refer to this nearby territory of Puglia. The richly decorated façade and impressive enough to make you feel small; beautiful then is the semicircular staircase leading to the entrance. The cross is poor of pictorial elements, but packed with decorations such as marbles, friezes and reliefs. Mentioning the altars, richly decorated.

  • Beautiful Basilica. Very artistic both inside and outside. Impressive. Very recommended. If you happen to be around you've got to have a look at this beauty!!
  • This is architecturally stunning - in the Baroque rococo style. Please, visit in the day AND, if possible, return in the evening to see it lit up inside - the experience is different, if not better. Don't miss the MUBA, their museum, which is nearby, there are some beautiful treasures on display.

  • Beautiful baroque church, one of the most beautiful in the whole of puglia. The magnificent façade, visible from the square (which I defined a sitting room, lovely), has a beautiful sculpture of St. Martin dividing his cloak with a poor of amiens. Inside, in addition to beauty amazes various statues, a Nativity scene, and, at the side of the main altar, a large view the relics of Saint Martin and Saint comisia, beautiful statues, silver-at height of a man. It is a cathedral to visit! open late, the information is on the website dedicated to it
