  • The old clock tower, is part of the village of Martha and the Lake below. Of course, after visiting the old town and walked on the promenade, you can not miss a visit to the tower. From there on, it dominates the town, Lake and two islands, Martana and Bisentina. This was the purpose, though with different purposes, for which the Tower, was built in the 12th century. Over the centuries, the tower that was part of a fortified stronghold, it was used as a watchtower to defend the country and later as a prison. Passed under several domains and suffered various damages, but thankfully, also of restorations. It is a beautiful and mighty Tower, octagonal in shape, about 21 meters and is the symbol of the country. I enclose a photo

  • The tower it gets easily into the historic centre. We found closed, sin, but also from the foot of the tower you can see the full panorama of the Lake.
