  • I was there a few days ago (end of October), but was chosen more apt. In high summer the bays are very (too) crowded, it's very hot and the path to them is not really flat. Out of season you can enjoy a more acceptable, finding good weather you can even swim (the sea is too tempting ...), but above all the bays are (almost) deserted! The classic route to reach them from the beach of Lentiscelle near the graveyard, climb ladders and continue until you reach a tower partly in ruins. From this point the climb is more resolute (discovered) but there are numerous wooden benches that allow you to relax while watching a breathtaking view of the sea. Shortly after you arrive on a paved road that passes near houses and private campaigns, these letters via red and white (although in some cases the signs we read scarcely are discolored by the Sun). Then the road becomes brecciata and descends steeply towards the first Bay gorgeous (Pozzallo) where there is also a refreshment. You Ascend along the track that passes amidst beautiful patches of forest (holm oaks, strawberry trees, Oaks), then at an area of the Red Earth on the left (upstream side) there is a beautiful huge cave (a bit infrascata to say the least) that definitely worth seeing. Shortly after the right path along a ditch you reach the wonderful cala bianca (trail a bit worn, and not very well maintained), then it goes back a lot until you come to a large plateau with farms and from here we descend again until you get to the ultimate goal, the baia degli infreschi. Many prefer to then get back but I recommend to retrace the path back again from another perspective it is possible to appreciate so many other details.

  • We got to caletta trekking, but other people were leaving the car not too distant. The place is not staffed, but the sea is gorgeous, sparkly clean and although the water is no longer hot you could not swim.
