  • Professional Guide, prepared and funny. Visit short because the cave is quite small but still nice. We parked along a closed road uphill. If you're in the area go there, if only to break up the day. A little too 5 euro for the visit.

  • I couldn't believe how cheap it was to get such a comprehensive tour of the caves by an expert in fluent English. The caves aren't enormous but are certainly fascinating when you learn all about the f...  more »
  • Maratea was ancient village Lombard, dominates the Gulf of Policastro. Is rich in creeks and several caves, including the cave of Marina di Maratea. It is adorned with stalactites and stalagmites and attracts passionate divers.

  • Beautiful cave "hidden" on the highway that connects Marina di Maratea at the Centre of Maratea. For € 5 a guide explain the history of the cave and notions of caving and mineralogy on the formation of stalactites. A word of advice: avoid wearing sandals, flip flops and the like, on the stairs along the way it slips!

  • The caves of wonders are located on the main road from Maratea port in Praia a Mare. Along the way you can see a sign that indicates their exact location. The caves are located below street level and can be easily reached, after a few steps. In summer open every day from 12 September is preferable to call to make sure a responsible to make the tour of the caves. The entrance costs 5 Euros offering the option of being accompanied by a guide. The visit is short because the caves are small but suggestive. Please do not use flash while visiting and refrain from touching the concretions. The only drawback of this attraction is the lack of parking, you have to find some place along the way or get stretched up the road that leads to the beaches of Illicini.

  • Wonderful ... to visit ...

  • Those wishing to visit the cave, under the highway, will be located in front of a closed door, no signs of opening, with a minidiscarica of toxic waste.
