  • A real surprise in our stay in Mantua was the visit of this stately home. L afamily of arc has racked up in ' 700 and ' 800 several artworks, exhibited in many environments furnished very tastefully. To name a few: a madonna and child by Leonardo's school and Christ by Van Dyck, in addition to beautiful affreschati and a m. beautiful outdoor garden we were guided by a great expert of the environment; the building is owned by a foundation. To see.

  • is a small Palace that is likely to go unnoticed in a city that has much to offer as Mantua. the building has hosted for centuries the family members of arc and was converted into a museum on the last member of the House. the visitor is accompanied by the Guide, you can access only accompanied by the staff in the various rooms, covering a period from the Renaissance until 1800. is the one dedicated to 1800 the most interesting part, both in size and quality: the rooms have remained almost intact, complete with furniture. a real blast from the past. a wonderful and unexpected.

  • We arrived at the Palazzo d'Arco almost by accident, just because we wanted to take full advantage of the Mantua Card. They managed to slip in a group and we began the tour with the Guide Elena square. I would like to say a few words to thank this girl, very talented and very passionate, who has flown one hour guided tour, so much so that in the end I was almost sorry it was over. He explained everything in detail and answered questions most curious, giving demonstration of extreme competence, as well as sympathy. The nothing left to say, is really very nice and contains pieces of great value. In our case, we also were lucky enough to witness the performance of a soprano and enjoy mulled wine and pandoro. The only negative is that the Palace (as well as many in Mantua and Sabbioneta) is completely free of heating, then avoid going there in January, as we did. Ultimately, an absolutely positive and that I recommend to everyone, especially if you can make the visit with Ms. Elena.
