  • The place is beautiful, often windy, and you can get lost in the distance between the Lake, mountains and sky. Then, if you are just crazy about bikes, the rest disappoints a bit. The small shrine looks like a repository of old bicycles and memorabilia and you are unable to know the history of the structure (something that seems to not matter to anyone). A legend tells that a certain Ghisallo assaulted by brigands vowed to erect the Church, but nothing is certain, deepened or documented. Effigy of the Madonna del Latte, anonymous, venerated by pregnant women in the past (before the sanctuary was invaded by bike), remains forgotten and ignored. For cycling fans finally the Museum is the highlight. For others, well, there's always the view.

  • I've come up for classic bike ride from Magreglio and both the ascent the scenery that awaits you to repay the effort. The shrine then is unique and can not miss a visit to the Museum of cycling.

  • Seems like irrespective of the weather you are going to get a pretty good view. Be prepared to share the space with a million cyclists though. It's a lovely place for a walk, a view a coffee.theres a ...  more »

  • I am so happy to find out the name and location of this wonderful sanctuary to cycling. About 15 years ago I found this completely by accident while solo cycling into Belaggio. I went inside and almost fell to my knees. It is packed with old bikes and jersies. At the time it had Fabio Castellas (sp?) jersey...a local bike hero who had just been killed in the Tour De France. This is heaven for cycling...and the sanctuary is something special.
  • È stato faticoso arrivare pedalando ma ne è assolutamente valsa la pena
  • Cyclist dream, pity the cycling museum beside the chapel was open only weekends as a peek through the window showed it to be of great interest
  • Madonna del Ghisallo patron of cyclists. Beyond the faith, a place full of votive offerings and historical records for bike lovers and cycling epic.
