  • A really beautiful place, full of color and greenery. There is a possibility to arrive from macugnaga (about 35/40 min walk) or from borca which is the first village where it takes about 20 minutes. Currently in the paths there is still some snow (especially continuing beyond the Lake and climbing) which forces the use of the bootie. Arrived at Lake there is the possibility to continue the walk which leads to about 30 min from the Lake to the hamlet of spreaders, where from there many paths for hikers and adventurers. Suggested routes from May onwards, when the snow is fully listen and you can enjoy the green in all its glory

  • From Macugnaga to a well marked trail behind the Church arrive after about 1 hour (in our case there were 40 cm of snow and needed snowshoes) flooded. Being winter the pond you could only see a small part unfortunately, but glancing towards the Amphitheater of Mount Turlo you remain speechless. Shame about the concrete dam on one side.

  • You come from a dirt leaving the car to Isella. After 40 minutes the show is guaranteed. It's worth it! Highly recommended!
