  • Recommended by an innkeeper in the area we started researching this nuragic site unknown to us. The site is located on a plateau that dominates a good slice of Sardinia: you see monte Oddeu, monte Corrasi, gennargentu with its punta La Marmora, the giara of Gesturi and across the sea to Bosa. The site near fi a spring, consists of an area dedicated to life then Tholos nuraghe and other homes and shelters for the beasts and an area dedicated to the afterlife and then a series of three tombs of the Giants, and as a passage between the earthly life and earthly ones a row of anthropomorphic menhirs at three men and three women. Don't judge the local guides to first impression: at the beginning are rough, but then if you can establish a contact will devote their full attention and are available to new avenues of research.

  • I knew this site for many years, when it was still ' hidden ' inside a private property. I came back in October, 2016 and discovered with pleasure that is now a tourist attraction managed excellently: great maintenance and cleaning of the area and of the ruins, adequate signage, well trained tour guides. What is striking about this archaeological site is the "authenticity" of the ruins that were miraculously spared from nefarious actions. The six female and three male, three bethels have a special charm, but also the nuraghe and the remains of the tomb of Giants still transmit their mystery. Tamuli is my favourite archaeological site. Don't forget to take some souvenir photos. Could use a wide angle lens. Once in St Leonard's Forest area to reach the Council which will be particularly welcoming during the warmer months.

  • An archaeological site perhaps less well known than others but not to be missed. The village is very nice, the tombs of the Giants are extremely interesting but are especially striking six bethels, where photographers will have fun. All very well run.
