  • In heading to la Rocca Estense, in the middle of the square, here stands this gigantic monument to Francesco Baracca, gold medal for military valour, fell in 1918 only 30 years. Just after his death were promoted initiatives to celebrate the heroic deeds; a Committee was established for the construction of a national monument. That realization was entrusted to a sculptor from Faenza. The monument was inaugurated in June 1936 in the presence of the Duke of Aosta and of the leading exponents of the regime; the area covered by the work is over 1,000 square meters, and the monument is entirely covered with travertine. The statue depicting Shack 5.70 metres, is made of bronze is high and is supported by a pedestal bearing dates and places of victories from ACE. In the background a huge wing, 27 meters high, shows the symbols on the sides of the departments that Shack belonged in Aeronautics and in Cavalry: the hippogriff and prancing horse. Go specifically to see this monument would consider him a stretch, being already in place a stop I consider appropriate.

  • Impressive and very style twenty years but nice in its genre. The Romagna of rest was element of contradiction between before and after the war.

  • Fairly important monument for the city, built in marble fascist style, which was inspired by the Roman one. It is dedicated to Aviator whose symbol became the icon of the company Ferrari
