  • It's an example of Angevin Gothic architecture erected by order of Charles II of Naples and consecrated in 1302 on an existing mosque. In Lucera, in fact, Frederick II had deported the Saracens. The visit is recommended to the entire city

  • We only visited inside for a short time as a mass was in process. The place felt like a genuine place of worship unlike many other grand churches and basilicas
  • Piazza Duomo is one of the most beautiful squares of the Sub. The Cathedral reflects the domination arba suffered from Lucera. Definitely worth visiting.

  • Is the Cathedral of Benevento that with its bronze doors makes everything much more wonderful and idyllic

  • The Cathedral is not just a place of worship; with the reopening of 2012 what was supposed to be renovation turned out to be also carrying out a spectacular project of "lighting design": a crane, scaffolding and uprooted even floors inside: this was a real industrial renovation in the body of a giant of 2 thousand square meters. The result is breathtaking.
