Where to stay in Lucca

Explore northern Tuscany from a hotel or B&B located in Lucca's historical town center. The city's luxury lodging options offer free parking and access to outstanding downstairs eateries. To experience a little of that famous Tuscan countryside, consider booking your stay at a family-owned farm just outside Lucca. Though a bit far from the city's main attractions, small farms in the surrounding area offer inexpensive rooms, good food, and a chance to experience Tuscany's nature and local way of life.

  • Limited but very interesting, and very gory as you might expect, information. Exhibits well presented and information in Italian, German and English. Takes about 30 mins to go round.
  • Samll, but very interesting.
  • Museum rich enough in "Tools" with a grim description of their use. Fascinating and disturbing at the same time. Note its not cheap.

  • Cheap and interesting. Not too rich

  • Nice, but not worth the 10 euros entrance. There are few things and most importantly the apps that make you download to get the VR is painful
