  • the Pieve di San giorgio a Fumbling is really a gem of historical architecture, sadly forgotten ... very old ... seems to have been built over a temple dedicated to Apollo, then before the year 1000, then arricchitta of other architectural elelementi gradually over time. For example the Ambo or pulpit, probably medieval, beautiful in its inlays on stone and bearing the statue of Matilda of Canossa, which I operated for this parish ... and then a fresco, stylized symbols, capitals one different from the other finely crafted and a marvel: a work attributed to Andrea Della Robbia magnifico, St George Slaying the Dragon, you remain speechless!!! Thanks to the volunteers involved in the care of this gem and to which we must call for a visit ... treasures of Itali forgot!!!

  • Not really easy to get to, beautiful Romanesque survives only thanks to some volunteers who make themselves available for a visit to the treasures kept inside. Deserves a lot more attention from the Ministry of culture.

  • This Romanesque church is just beautiful! The Romanesque style is pristine in all its architectural and sculptural elements. Inside, apart from the ceiling trusses, columns, arches, partitions, typical of the Romanesque presbytery are sculptures of great value, like the 12th-century baptismal font and pulpit and the altar of the 11th century. Enrich scholarship Kit a glazed terracotta attributed to Andrea della Robbia and a crucifix from the 13th century. The atmosphere is very impressive. Unfortunately the Church is always closed and is vistiabile only by setting an appointment with one of the volunteers who lend themselves to lead the Church in the interest of the visitor and their communities. Their numbers are 349-6630107, 347-4796317, 328-5331903. Called because they are only too happy to show off their jewelry and sensitise tourists about this masterpiece otherwise closed to the public.
