  • The Pieve di San Giorgio a Fumbling boasts ancient origins: it is first mentioned in 767. The Church is located in Brancoleria, perpendicular to the river Serchio valley and set on left side of this river. The present parish church was built between the eleventh and twelfth centuries and it's typical of Romanesque architecture countryside of Lucca: to the left of the entrance is the high Bell Tower, clearly Lombard array. Inside it has three naves, divided by columns: on the left was a large stoup of the 11th century, stolen in the year 2000. The most precious artwork of the Church's pulpit: bears the signature of the Lombard school by Guidetto from Como and of its workers (are those who have made the façade of s. Martino in Lucca).

  • Although the Church is not in the heart of the city, but it makes a very good impression. all soaked in strong, even Puritan colors. All proportions are harmonious and there's nothing superfluous. And traces of intended and antiquities, give the whole building its charm. I like it here very much.

  • The parish church of St. George Brancoli is a beautiful example of Romanesque architecture. The Interior has three naves, the good fresco. There is also a good collection of Church relics with precious stones.
