  • We were in Lucca in February on a Saturday. The piazzas were full of activity, including Piazza Napoleone, where they had a temporary ice skating rink set up. What fun to watch dads teaching kids to s...  more »
  • Personally, I remember nothing-quite a lot of people, carousel, trays of sweets, surrounding the building unremarkable.

  • It is a place that is used to locate a track of ice skating in winter as well as attractions for children, this located the Palace that the entrance is free and there are exhibitions, one of drawings and on the second floor was now history of Ana Frank, close an ice cream parlor jelly ice cream being charged to weight and the decoration is beautiful , the combination of tiramisu and pistachio, good quality for my taste, but you can combine what you want.

  • Lucca is a lovely old style town that has a romantic feel to it as you walk down its narrow streets. The square is a lively place to stop for a drink or bite to eat. Many restraunts nearby just dont live up to their name serving very average dishes.
  • I'm probably being unfair in my review as I was in Lucca on a day when nothing special was going on. In general it's a fairly ordinary piazza so unless something is specifically happening it's not worth visiting. The cafes and gelato surrounding the piazza are average as well.
  • Lovely square which had a market on the day off our visit. Well worth a look.
  • Lucca is a cracking day out from Pisa by train, only takes 30mins a must see. Walk the back streets and the city walk very romantic place.
  • Piazza was taken up a massive stage and hoardings for the Lucca Summer Festival, so didn't get a chance to appreciate it in its full glory. But what I saw I liked.
