  • During Lucca Comics the town was totally crowded. This place is really great, but certainly not the most beautiful part of the city, but in any case it is worth making a stop

  • a beautiful place to stop and admire the view of the city. suited to sunny days and for drinks

  • Commissioned by Pauline Bonaparte, nostalgic of large squares of Paris, today is one of the most "live" of the city

  • Lucca is a lovely old style town that has a romantic feel to it as you walk down its narrow streets. The square is a lively place to stop for a drink or bite to eat. Many restraunts nearby just dont live up to their name serving very average dishes.
  • I'm probably being unfair in my review as I was in Lucca on a day when nothing special was going on. In general it's a fairly ordinary piazza so unless something is specifically happening it's not worth visiting. The cafes and gelato surrounding the piazza are average as well.
  • Lovely square which had a market on the day off our visit. Well worth a look.
  • Lucca is a cracking day out from Pisa by train, only takes 30mins a must see. Walk the back streets and the city walk very romantic place.
  • Piazza was taken up a massive stage and hoardings for the Lucca Summer Festival, so didn't get a chance to appreciate it in its full glory. But what I saw I liked.
