  • This is a small museum but pretty well stocked. Rooms are completely furnished; baroque style and loads of tapestries. There was a textiles exhibition open when we went which was very well presented. ...  more »

  • Housed in one of the most lavish mansions in the city. Restored to be used as the new feature, the building preserves the appearance of the Environment Agency, embellished with frescoes, stucco, furniture, tapestries, tapestries. The monumental apartment on the first floor, come down to us in its entirety, is the most valuable of the Palace. The Hall of mirrors in the neoclassical style of the renewal of the early 19th century. Some lounges are decorated with precious Flemish tapestries and draperies. The alcove room is richly furnished with antique Tapestry and a canopy bed framed by a serliana carved and gilded supported by caryatids. The building houses on the first floor the monumental apartments you are-and the national art gallery of eighteenth-century Lucca. The rooms of the ground floor are intended for temporary exhibitions and display frames and artifacts of the legacy Niemark. Attivio's a weaving workshop. On the second floor are exhibits lucchesi of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The Gallery is full of works of provenance: Medici collections and locations. Domenico Beccafumi, Salvator Rosa, some portraits made by painters such as Pontormo, Bronzino, Tintoretto, or still works by Ghirlandaio, Luca Giordano, and other artists.
