  • I cannot say that I am a fan of the comics, but due to an all-out propaganda of the American way of life and the dominance of Hollywood movies on movie and television screens, these fans are more than sufficient, especially among children and adolescents. So here went, just for the sake of curiosity. Especially liked Spider-man, hanging on its Web in the Arch of the main entrance.

  • An interesting Museum of comics and fiction in a former barracks. Pretty interesting decision of the local authorities here to take a break from the crosses, icons and altars in the rest of Lucca.

  • Lucca has always been synonymous with comic book. So, when I came to this city, my first thought was to be able to visit the famous Museum of comics and image. Consult the internet site and know that it is updated as of 2014 (brings back a new opening in force since 1/6/2014). I think we're the usual Italian, we open a website and do not update. However, given the hours of aperturs, aware that can be changed over time, arrived in front of the Museum a sad surprise. Gate completely closed. An a4 sheet of paper stuck on shows the words "Museum closed for renovation". You can't imagine the disappointment. The capital of comics, having premises maintenance and restoration, isn't it a temporary and alternative locations? The only solution is to close the Museum to the detriment of the many tourists who come for this attraction? But more importantly, what does it take to warn tourists, to write it to the website (and maybe keep it updated)?
