Santuario Della Santa Casa, Loreto
(4.8/5 based on 1,300+ reviews on the web)
In the heart of an intricate basilica and allegedly the birthplace of Mary, Santuario Della Santa Casa features simple brick construction and decorative artwork. You can appreciate the effort involved in moving this structure by sea from Nazareth in Israel. Once here, it was modified into its current form. Examine ancient graffiti carved into the walls by contemporary residents of the Holy Land. Book ahead if you'd like a guided tour. • History or legend says that in the sanctuary fortress of Loreto is preserved the House of the Holy family of Nazareth, from where it was moved here. The crossing of the chain of the Apennines to get from Tuscany following the Nera river is really beautiful and very picker the time elapsed in this sacred place suitable for reflection and meditation.

  • A purely religious and Catholic city, everything revolves around the shrine and Basilica, where denotes the glitz that the clergy used to build their churches
