  • Before visiting the Museum site in the country. Scrolling through the images, photographs, artifacts and documents, it traces the Chronicle of disaster foretold. Then you climb with a means towards the dam and stopping just mounting the hill that lies instead of the artificial lake. In the background, the bare wall of monte Toc that reveals the origin of the Knoll. To the right there is the only survivor of its misfortune: the dam, which cynically remains a masterpiece of engineering, which has held up the mass of an entire Lake and a piece of the mountain. Why go to that place? Because imprint itself in the memory those images? In order to give an adequate response when you hear the phrase: "we have to make it happen, whatever the cost!" or, "we can no longer go back!"
