Terrazza Mascagni, Livorno

4.5
#1 of 325 in Things to do in Province of Livorno
Landmark Tourist Spot
A pattern of nearly 35,000 black-and-white tiles, much like a chessboard, cover Terrazza Mascagni, one of Livorno's most popular promenades. On this waterside walk with views of the Tyrrhenian Sea, you can see balustrades and balconies constructed during the 1920s. The area is dotted with gazebos so you can rest your feet. Bring along a picnic, or stop at a restaurant. The easy-to-walk path is paved and flat. • The weather was not so good, but this place was still great for a walk, I can imagine how crowded it must be on sunny days and how amazing it is at sunset.
  • Nice but nothing special, beaches are mostly rocky and uncomfortable but still okay
  • A great place to go in Livorno. Don't miss it
  • Fantastic place where you can enjoy the sunset. Absolutely a must-see in Livorno.
  • Practically the only thing in Livorno. You'll get baked in the summer though, there is no shade,
