  • A hidden gem in the heart of Livorno. The Museum is housed in a stately villa surrounded by a park with old trees, with magnificent ceilings, antique furnishings and a fabulous stairway. The exterior of the building is a bit neglected, but a visit to the Museum gives you a trip back in time through a succession of amazing paintings.

  • The exterior a bit resigned, you got a ticket but the resounding explosion of almost anonymous true Marvel! The ticket price is low and does not cover the value of only the "container": an eclectic style building, richly decorated, the handrail of the stairway that recalls the old della Robbia, the murals of great interest ... and what to say about the collection of paintings? An unsuspected wealth! Our glorious 19th century painting is represented here by all the artists that made it great: not only factors but League, Nomellini, Pascoe, Bruzzi, Corcos, Puccini, Boldini ... A succession of amazing paintings, some little known, in a simple and efficient, within living rooms decorated with antique furnishings, lavish decorations and floors ... A Museum of wonders to an artistic period that has nothing to envy to the results of the France of the Impressionists. The museum visit Factors allows a fabulous journey in the history of painting of that time, through humble and poetic subjects: the work in the fields, farm animals, battle fatigue, portraiture, the beautiful Italian scenery all collected in a highly enjoyable abode of rare beauty. An absolute treasure to discover and rediscover. Leaving the rich bookshop is a temptation for bibliophiles. Lovely the park surrounding the villa.

  • I recommend everyone visiting this wonderful Museum that offers works beautiful. The Museum is set in a stately villa surrounded by a natural lung of old trees.

  • The Museum is truly a gem although the external conditions of the building does not bode well, once inside you can see a structure of great beauty, with masterpieces as both interiors of several rooms with their furniture, like paintings (beautiful some works of Corcos, Nomellini, Angelo Tommasi, the same factors, Enrico Pollastrini, ...). The only con is that the only work by Modigliani to be present, as well as being one of his children, is practically not illuminated; Fortunately most of the works has good lighting.

  • Despite the long closing at lunchtime (from 13 to 16), you cannot re-enter the afternoon if you buy your ticket in the morning. Arrived at 12, I had to give in. A notable example of organizational inflexibility. For the rest the Museum (as I remember it from a first visit several years ago) is very nice.
