Acquario di Livorno, Livorno

#2 of 7 in Parks in Livorno
The shark tank is the biggest draw at Livorno's Acquario di Livorno, an aquarium that houses local species of fish, as well as varieties collected from other waters. In addition to sleek predators, you can also see more docile creatures, such as the sea turtle. This port city's aquarium was designed to educate the public about the plight of marine animals. Take a guided tour to learn how the aquarium works to conserve species and replenish the ocean. • Nice set of aquarios with fish from dofferent parts of the world. I liked especially mediaterranian animals. Unfortunately not much information about animals inside unless you don't use guided trip. F...  more »
  • Small Aquarium recently renovated. When I was little, I always went to see this Aquarium called Diacinto Cestoni. At that time there was also a section Museum that was truly magical. The Aquarium is a great place, the wonderful terrazza Mascagni and only for that deserves to go. Obviously the Aquarium is another matter, but those who visit will be surely glad, for both the tanks and the context in which it is located

  • Very interesting tour and especially colourful! The Aquarium is not very big, but it is well structured and above all clean the tanks containing various types of fish, broken down by origin (Mediterranean/tropical). Very interesting also the flora of fish and corals and sea urchins. I went there on a Sunday, but I look very interesting workshops for school children: a way no doubt original to watch live nature, though not in its natural environment, but at least not through a computer screen

  • Nice place for kids. Very large variety of marine life, you can spend a least 3 hours in Livorno Aquarium. The entry price is very fair for what the Aquarium offers. It was the second time visiting the Livorno Aquarium and will for sure comeback
  • An excellent aquarium. 14 Euros for an adult feels a bit steep but is in line with other museums in Italy. Well worth a visit.
  • It is nice. But smaller than you expect. After one hour you have nothing to do. That disapointed us. So we went back again to turtles. They were realy big and for us the most interesting.
  • Well ... i just was right there with my husband. That place is much overpriced for this what is inside. We paid 14€ per person and it's way too much just for the few tanks of fishes and corals. I expected much much more because i already saw aquarium in Gdynia (Poland) where price was lowere and tons of things more to see. Here is just a waste of money. At least all creatures was amazing.
  • Very nice inside. Not really big but nice tanks with beautiful fish. Only thing is that the info whats in the tanks is really bad. Almost nowhere there is good info about whats in it.
