  • We had a chance to do a tasting (which later turned out to be a lunch and even very good) during an excursion to mount Etna. Don Saro and his staff were very kind despite our delay. The wines are excellent, even the pink that I usually am not lover. Thank you.

  • Attracted by the wine, I found warmth and sympathy. Promoted all wines tasted. The "moves" it speaks for itself, on the palate.

  • From amateur wine buff, I discovered that the Sun is not just the day best suited to decide to visit a wine cellar. Last Sunday we decided with friends to jump on the northern slope of Etna, looking for some basement. En route the first verdicts from websites we announced the closure of most of the wineries. We find the site of cantine Don Saro and call now: Yay! Are open! We go to the basement where we are greeted by the proprietor, who kindly prepares us for a taste of an Etna bianco mosso ("moves": fresh, good!). After the first taste we move into fresh, fragrant and cellar, where he had set up a table for 4 and two stoves (necessary because the temperature was really low). Continue the tasting:-Etna rosso "bunches" (grapes hand-picked at night); -Etna rosso "Dionysus"-Etna white still-Passito di Pantelleria "Gebel" tasting was accompanied by great olives, cheese, sausage with a knife, omelet ... Truly amazing price (€ 10 per person), great if you consider the 5 labels taste and food. You can obviously buy bottled wine directly from the winery. I suggest the first white moved, the Etna rosso "clusters of night" and the sweet wine.

  • I visited the vineyard during the excursion on the Etna along with Etnaexperience-Tour & Tasting. Under the "test" they offered us three wines under appropriate snacks. Wine, really wonderful, unfortunately, I am not an expert, I can't name the components of "bouquet", but I'm sure in a long pleasant aftertaste: just curiosity makes jump from one fault to another. Bought a couple of bottles of home (white Ante and Respiro)-no almost disappointed. Many thanks to the organizers of the tour and the owner of the vineyard Don Saro.
