Home to the remains of St. Nicholas, Chiesa di San Nicolo al Lido serves as one of Venice's traditional and symbolic boundaries. Originally constructed during the Middle Ages, much of the church's external architecture dates from the 16th and 17th centuries. For many sailors, this chapel was their final sight before leaving the city, and the relics of St. Nicholas, the patron saint of sailors, only reinforced its significance. Pay a visit to the historical building, located along the outskirts of the city near the airport, and you'll find a church rather plain in appearance, but featuring an ornate interior full of statues and reliefs. Note that the outer facade of the building remains unfinished. It is a beautiful little church, I was very excited to leave my name in the visitors book but unfortunately didn’t get a chance to pray the guard kick me out very rude, this is supposed to be a place for all of us...I was very respectful, I wasn’t even trying to take pictures 🙄

Catholic temple on the lido where to rest the relics of the Wonderworker St. Nicholas. The akacists of Saint Nicholas lie in the Russian language. The people are usually very few. You can pray quietly. From the pier "Lido" is the smartest thing to go by bus "a" almost to the end. Keep in mind the fare must be paid at once, because the final tickets to buy nowhere.

La Chiesa di San Nicolò al Lido di Venezia si affaccia sulla laguna di Venezia e le sue isole . È stupenda con tre altari dipinti e statue , la navata è grande e l altare centrale domina l entrata in chiesa! Magnifica !

The Church of St. Nicolò at the Lido in Venice overlooks the venice lagoon and its islands. It is gorgeous with three painted altars and statues, the aisle is large and the central altar dominates the entrance to the church! Magnificent!
