  • Went there twice during our stay in Lerici! The view of the Golfo dei Poeti was incredible. Good for an evening romantic walk. We managed to get in for free as they had some sort of modern art exhibit...  more »
  • Worth this castle on foot or by lift. The view from the top of Lerici and the Bay leaves you speechless, having to choose a time of day to climb on, surely the best one is dark. To see!

  • Ideal and pleasant stroll after lunch. It gently climbs up to the top of the hill from where you can overlook Lerici and its Marina. Unfortunately the weather was gloomy and we did not appreciate the colors of the sea and around but it was still worth it. We couldn't visit the Interior as it closed.

  • Memorable stay in 68' when it had a youth hostel on the roof.
  • Beautiful castle with sea views of the coast. To reach it you must climb the steps that lead at the top. The castle also has a lift for older people. It is located right overlooking the sea of Liguria, in the center of Lerici.
  • Castle of Lerici is a polygonal fortification that stands in a dominant position on the rocky headland of the Bay diLerici. The castle was built starting dal1152 and underwent several transformations made by the maritime republics of Genoa ePisa who competed for the property because of its strategic location. Just nel1555 the Castle began to take on its present aspect, when, at the behest of the Office of St. George, were completed and, to seal the event, was hanging a plaque that is still visible on the front door.

  • very nice and well preserved Castle of Lerici, the ability to enter an elevator or very many stairs; Unfortunately, often closed without notice, you can enter only the courtyard before the Castle; the castle looks very nice from the sea and the beach
