  • Bivouac in great condition, always open, usable more than anything else in bad weather unless you specifically want to stay overnight here I can't see any other reason. You can reach from simple hiking trails difficulty so anyone can make them. While going up the road from Ballabbio goes to Morterone is a clearing along the road on the left with the indication "ferrata" that brings us within 2 min to a route EEA (experienced hiker equipped) ferrata Simon Chan. This via ferrata grows on rocky terraces that separate us from the Summit, a normal salt trail zigzagged across these tiers allowing you to abandon the ferrata for each stroke and climb to the top anyway, so the advice from experts accompanying someone at first. the most difficult stretch beyond the eighth tower which is also indicated by a sign "difficult" is near the end of the first section, on which people do not too much practice you may block due to the technical nature and the light exposure. However it is often possible to set stops on route equipped to ensure those who are beginners. The pictures shows the eighth Tower as "difficult".

  • I was born and raised at the foot of this mountain. A beautiful balcony above Lecco. I stayed several times in the bivouac and I go back to the top often. Fun climb from any side and any season.

  • There are various routes of ascent to bivouac, some more challenging than others, but if you want to take a nice walk with at the end a breathtaking view, mount two hands I think is a good choice. Despite being of B I climbed to the top of the trail that leaves from Summit St. Peter, the final part is a bit challenging but nothing unfeasible. For those who might not be fond of ridges and wants something less challenging, below the Summit, starting with B, there is also the bivouac Emanuela, the view is not a 360° as to the top but definitely deserves.
