  • For centuries, home of the society of Jesus. The church built at the end of ' 500 to accommodate the Jesuits, was built on the ancient Church of San Niccolò dei Greci Greek Orthodox rite, demolished for the occasion. The sober and linear façade has two orders. The less characterized by niches which culminate in the portal surmounted by a pediment with the emblem of the society of Jesus, the upper one has a large central window surmounted by a niche with baby Jesus. Inside pictorial testimonies and sculptures of late 16th century and early nineteenth century. Paintings by Girolamo Imparato, Serafino Elmo, Oronzo Letizia and Oronzo Tiso, frescoes by Antonio Verrio. Fine eighteenth-century wooden choir in walnut, added by Benedictine monks after the Suppression of the Jesuit order.
