Constructed in 1144 and remodeled in 1659, Duomo di Lecce lies in the heart of the city upon a wide plaza. Admire the cathedral's Baroque architecture and the different details on each facade; the second entrance features statues of saints. Look for the 12 altars in the nave, as well as the religious paintings throughout the wooden interior. Step to the piazza outside to see bell tower. • Amazing baroque delight in Lecce! Located in a nice piazza, with tickets being sold nearby, in the information office. The family ticket is a value of money, and would recommend to get if you are not alone. *Tip: Look for the secret underground area (Photos posted but shhh)
  • A delightfully eclectic and architectual surprise as you enter piazza, the church interior is artistically vibrant and stunning.
  • Buy the ticket - it gives you access to other gorgeous churches and the museum. QR code gives really detailed audio guide - multilingual and tells you so much about the city and it’s history.
  • The best thing about this church is... It is only a short walk to the Church of Saint Irene. Which is Amazing & FREE entry. Don't waste your money paying to going in here.
  • Impressive church - baroque style with tons of works over the columns. Great value on the family ticket: € 17,00 to visit the Duomo, Museo Diocesano; San Matteo, Santa Chiara and Santa Croce Church’s. Take your time and enjoy!!!!
